vsphere data protection configuration stape by step



                                        Procedure  of VDP 5.5 Configuration  
Open V center console Login with administrative rights.
On the file tab, click > Deploy OVF Template.
If prompted, allow and install the VMware Client Integration Plug-in.

Select the source where the vSphere Data Protection Appliance is located
By default the File name dialog
is set to OVF Packages (*.ovf). From the drop-down box to the right of File name, select OVA Packages
(*.ova).
** Navigate to the location of the vSphere Data Protection Appliance .ova file. Confirm that you select the
Appropriate file for the datastore. Click Open.

After the vSphere Data Protection Appliance .ova file is selected, click Next.
Review the template details and click Next.
On the Accept EULAs screen, read the license agreement, click Accept, and then click Next.
On the Select name and folder screen, enter the name for the vSphere Data Protection Appliance (this
must match the entry configured on the DNS Server) and click on the folder or datacenter in which you
want it deployed. The vSphere Data Protection Appliance Name should not be changed after installation.
Click Next.
On the Select a resource screen, select the host for the vSphere Data Protection Appliance and click Next.
On the Select Storage screen, select the virtual disk format and select the location of the storage for the
vSphere Data Protection Appliance. Click Next.
Select Host where is free space click next
We have free space on local disk on host 73 select local disk and click next
Select Thin Provision and next
On the Setup networks screen, select the Destination Network for the vSphere Data Protection Appliance
and click Next.
In the Customize template screen, specify the Default Gateway, DNS, Network 1 IP Address, and
Network 1 Netmask. Confirm that the IP addresses are correct and match the entry in the DNS Server.
Setting incorrect IP addresses in this dialog box will require the .ova to be redeployed. Click Next.
On the Ready to complete screen, confirm that all of the deployment options are correct. Check Power on
after deployment and click Finish.

Click on close
Configure and Install the VDP Appliance
From a web browser, access the vSphere Web Client.
By default username is changeme
From the VMware Login screen, enter the following:
a User: root
b Password: changeme
c Click Login


The Welcome screen appears. Click Next.
The Network settings dialog box appears. Specify (or confirm) the following:
a IPv4 Static address
b Netmask
c Gateway
d Primary DNS
e Secondary DNS
f Host name
g Domain

Click Next.
The Time Zone dialog box appears. Select the appropriate time zone and click Next.

The VDP credentials dialog box displays. change the password
pecify a password that contains the above
Click Next.
 
The vCenter registration dialog box appears. Specify the Above.
Click Test connection

Click Next





Click on create new storage and next
We have already select local disk 

Allocated 3 disk to device allocation
Do not change settings of CPU and memory click next
The Ready to Complete page displays. Click Finish
Configuration of the vSphere Data Protection Appliance is now complete, but you will need to return to
the vSphere Web Client and reboot the appliance. Using the vSphere Web Client, right click on the
appliance and select Restart Guest OS.

In the Confirm Restart message, click Yes. The reboot can take up to 30 minutes.

After Installation wait 30-40 minuts for starting services of VDP backup
